Wednesday was my last day on the trip, before I decided to call it quits. I first went to the Toltec Archeological State Park near Little Rock. It reminded me of a smaller version of Cahokia Mounds near St. Louis. There were three big mounds built by Native Americans and it had a nice visitor center.
After that I went to the Little Rock Zoo. It was a good zoo, but not as impressive as the Memphis Zoo. While at the Little Rock Zoo a kid dropped his 20oz bottle of Dr. Pepper into the Chimpanzee exhibit. One of the adult chimps grabbed the bottle and put it in it's mouth ran over to their jungle gym and sit down with it. It opened the bottle like it had done it a 1000 times and began to drink the Dr. Pepper. It spilled some and then one of the baby chimps ran over and finished off what was left in the bottle.
My last stop was Pinnacle Mountain State Park, where I made the spontanious decision to climb the mountain. It was an accomplishment I'm pretty proud of! I started asking people coming down if they had made it to the top and I was getting answers like "Not in this life time" and lots of people tried and gave up. People I might add who were in much better shape than me! Put I made it to the top and the view was well worth the climb.
After the achievement of climbing Pinnacle Mountain I decided to call it a trip and head home. I was starting to get pretty sunburned and didn't want to end up looking like Tanning Mom.
Since I got home I have been uploading pictures and watching movies. I watched Underworld Awaking, which was excellent! They left it wide open for more Underworld movies, which is great! It's one of the few movie series where they haven't put out bad sequels that were low budget and replaced the actors with horrible ones you've not heard of.
I also watched Our Darkest Hour, which I liked. It fit the pattern of alien invasion movies to come out over the last year like "Battle Los Angeles" and "Skyline". I liked it a little better than those two though, but it still wouldn't be a movie I'd watch over and over.
Then I watched Haywire, which a big disappointment! I really expected a lot of action, especially since one of the best female MMA fighters stars in it. Sadley there was very little action, a horrible script and a sucky plot. I couldn't even finish the movie!
I came across a movie in the Red Box called "Tomorrow When The War Began" and I thought it sounded pretty good from the description so I gave it a shot. I really liked it, it reminded me of an Australian version of Red Dawn. It didn't have a whole lot of action in it, but over all I liked it.
Last I went to the movies and saw The Avengers, which was excellent! They did a really great job of blending action and comedy.
