Zippin' All Over The Place

Really tired this evening because I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. The side walls of my hotel room are pretty thick and don't let a lot of noise in. The room next to me was rented and you couldn't hear their tv and you could only hear a faint murmor of them having a conversation not even as loud as a whisper in the room when the tv was off and the air conditioner was off, so that didn't bother me at all. However the front of the room kept out no sound at all!!!
Very early in the morning someone checking out was standing in front of my room and yelled down to their friends a few rooms down to bring something. In front of the room is  a concrete sidewalk, then gravel and then grass. Instead of using the sidewalk someone kept walking across the gravel. I felt like I was sleeping outside it kept out so little sound! Not to mention I was just a few rooms down from the pool and a covered picnic area. Finally I drifted back off about 9:00 am and as soon as I did a housekeeper started knocking on my door. I appreciate the attempt at service, but I would have much rather stayed asleep! If I needed towels or something I'd put out the "attention service" sign or call the front desk.  On top of all that the dead bolt to my room was about 5 inches lower than the hole in the door frame it was intended to go into, completely useless. Every time the air conditioner would kick off or on the pressure would make the door sound like it was being opened or closed. For being stuck way back in the back out of the way, it sure was noisy!
After housekeeping I gave up on sleep and took a shower and got ready for the day. I ate again at The Hard Luck Diner using my last certificate. Then I met my friend Jonathan at Adventure Ziplines. We did the zipline course and it was a lot of fun! This was my second ziplining experience in Branson, the other time I went to Branson Ziplines on Highway 65.  Of the two I would recommend Branson Ziplines.
One thing I liked more about Adventure Ziplines is on one of their lines you have the opportunity to flip upside down which was a lot of fun. I don't remember getting a chance to do that at Branson Ziplines.
To compare the two, Branson Ziplines seemed like the whole experience lasted longer. But  it also cost more. I think I payed about $100 at Branson Ziplines vs the $70 at Adventure Ziplines.
Another big difference between the two was at Branson Ziplines you stop by spreading your arms and using wind resistance. At Adventure Ziplines you use a special glove and pull down on the line to act like a break. I don't really have a preference on which is better, they both worked for me.
One of the big things I didn't like about Adventure Ziplines was how the guides beg you for tips and they have a big sign up asking you to tip.  I didn't tip!!!  Why? Other than the fact I locked my wallet in my car so it wouldn't fall out. I didn't tip because it costs $70 per person! We had 10 people in our group, that's $700 they made just from our group alone and some groups are bigger than ours. Other than insurance, I'm sure the overhead is pretty low. On top of the $70's they charge you $30 for a photo cd and if you just want a single picture the prints were expensive. Ziplining is a lot of fun, but it's EXPENSIVE!!!!!
After ziplining Jonathan and I went to eat at Outback Steakhouse and then on to the new museum by Table Rock Dam. Then we called it a day and went our seperate ways. After getting back to the hotel I got into the pool for a little bit and that's been pretty much it for today.
