Christmas Lights
It was up in the 50s today which really helped melt a lot of this snow and ice. There are still patches on the ground, but it's supposed to be nice again tomorrow so they'll probably go away.
Kitty and Yellow (the two strays outside) disappeared last night and didn't show up again until this evening. I looked out several times last night and neither one slept in their beds. I don't like when they disappear like this, I worry about them getting caught in a trap or hit by a car. Kitty won't even let me near her anymore because she knows I'll catch her and bring her inside for a while. Yellow is the complete opposite and very tame.
Today I played some on the Xbox, did laundry and went to Springfield this evening with the family. Filled up with gas at Sam's Club and then went to eat at Cheddar's. Every restaurant we saw in Springfield was packed! We had to wait about 15 minutes at Cheddar's before we got a table.
There was a couple sitting at the booth right in front of me on a date. Instead of sitting across from each other they sit side by side. The girl had a very low cut shirt on and it exposed a lot of cleavage, which she was not lacking. The strap on the dress kept falling down off her shoulder and I thought for sure before the meal was over I would be flashed. I was not, not that I would have minded if I had been. Usually when something like this happens to me it would be a girl I would not want to see. This girl was actually pretty good looking.
Not that the guy who was with her even noticed! He played on his cell phone the entire time, There was pretty much no conversation. Had a boob popped out I don't think he would have taken his eyes off the screen to even notice. She finally gave up and got on her cell phone towards the end of their meal.
I kept thinking, "Dude! Put your phone in your pocket!" You're on a date, she should be the one getting your attention. If you get a phone call or a text message that's one thing to quickly check it. Or you need to confirm a movie time, something like that. But as a general rule, when you're on a date, keep the cell phones in your pocket!
The food at Cheddars was excellent. I had the combination plate of chicken tenders and fried shrimp. It came with two sides, but I just got french fries. My other side I gave to my mom which was a salad. I was really hungry and ate every bit of it though, couldn't believe I ate so much!
After Cheddars we stopped at Pet Smart to use some coupons. Then drove by the house that has the Meat Cleaver in the tree. I wanted to show my step dad. (I've got pictures posted of it on Flickr).
Then we went to Ozark Empire Fairgrounds for the drive through Christmas light display. We got there just before closing and only saw one other vehicle going through it. It's not to expensive, $12 per car and takes about 30 minutes to go through. It isn't as nice or as big as the ones in Branson, but it's not nearly as expensive either. I enjoyed it and got some pretty good pictures. (posted on my Flickr page).
On our way home we stopped at Baskin Robbins for ice cream. As I was picking out what flavor I wanted the guy working behind the counter recognized me. I'm thinking ok where does he know me from..... Flickr, was he in the jail when I worked there? The way he talked I think it may have just been mistaken identity.
This has been about it for my day, it's now the early morning and I need to get my butt in bed!
