Storm Chasing
It's late and I'm tired so I can't really think of everything I should probably write about since I last updated this. I will just ramble on for a bit about whatever comes to mind.
Yellow, the stray tomcat who hangs around, disappeared for a couple days this week and showed up a couple days ago. Wherever he was I don't think he ate because he acted starved and I gave him double the normal amount of food which he scarfed down in a hurry. He's been hanging around most of the time since. It would be so interesting to mount a little camera on them and see where they go during the days.
Had a storm roll through tonight. There was a lot of lightning to the North West and I went out to the front yard and filmed some of it. It looked like a strobe light and there was very little thunder. Just a few minutes after I stopped filming the tornado sirens went off. It started pouring rain and hailing and I jumped in the Jeep to go storm chasing. I got soaked running from the house to the car. Didn't see anything except lots of rain and dime sized hail. The radio said there was no tornado spotted, just rotation on the radar. It all moved through in about 30 minutes.
