Where have I been?

Yeah, I kind of dropped off the face of the Earth again there for a while.... sorry about that. So where have I been? Mostly at home with a broken wrist. I'd love to have a really cool story about how I broke it fighting off a grizzly bear to save a group of orphans. It isn't an exciting story though, I fell getting out of my truck at work and broke it.
I was in Texas at the time and this is my first broken bone. You expect really painful, but this wasn't that bad. When I fell I don't even remember hitting my wrist, but I remember my back hurt really bad when I hit the ground. Thought I broke my glasses, but it was my ear piece that went flying off my head. It wasn't until I got up I noticed my wrist and still it wasn't that bad. I could still move it which I thought if it was broke I wouldn't be able to do. I was hoping it was just a sprain! So from there I drove all the way to Maryland. Let me tell you the roads in Louisiana are very bumpy! It took a couple days to get up to Maryland and the wrist just wasn't getting any better. So I figured I had better get it checked out. A couple more stops and over to Michigan before I could get home. Pretty much drove a big loop around the Eastern half of the United States on a broken wrist.
Got home, got it checked out and the bad news it was broke. Really hoped I didn't have to have surgery on it and the doctors thought there was a chance I wouldn't if the bone didn't shift. They put me in this cast thing and I laid around watching Netflix babying my arm. Just when I started feeling like my arm was healing they wanted to do surgery.
So I had surgery which was more painful than when I broke it. Still wasn't horribly bad, they gave me a whole bottle of pain pills and I think I took maybe 3. That was a few weeks ago and the wrist is feeling better. It's still annoying sometimes with a little pain, lost a lot of strength. Been working hard to get movement back in it. For a while I couldn't give a thumbs up, but I've got that down. Most of the movement is back, but I'm still having problems with up and down, I think I only have about 50% of the range as I do with my other hand. I have a really big scar on my wrist from the surgery now, might get that covered up with a tattoo later on. A tattoo of what? I have no idea yet! Might have a tiny bit of nerve damage too, the feeling seems to be just a little off in that hand compared to the other..
So that is where I've been and I'm back now, trying to get back into the normal swing of things. So you should be hearing from me soon!
