Echoes Into Infinity

Just got home from work about an hour ago and grabbed an IBC Root Beer and through a pizza in the oven. Breakfast time for you is dinner time for me. I tossed some of the scraps out the front door into the yard and a squirrel ran up and grabbed one and started munching down. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day today! To bad I have to go to bed in a little bit and get ready for another fun filled night of work, ugh. Till then I'm just going to lay here and listen to some music, work on this blog and drink my root beer.
I ended up having to buy a part to get the Jeep fixed, it was a short in the center console. Luckily they found one used at a salvage yard for $35, otherwise new it would have been a dealer part and cost over $100. Since they had just fixed two of my windows they were super nice and installed it without charging any labor since it was pretty easy to put the part on.
The music video for Pitch Perfect song "When I'm Gone" a.k.a. "Cups" is pretty cool. It's a good song, good enough it is getting radio play. Most of the beat is kept by making music with cups and clapping.
Last month I put in for Monday and Tuesday off, mostly just to guarantee I would have a couple days off back to back or whole days off. I just picked this Monday and Tuesday because Superman is out. I'm going to go try and see it and The Purge. I just noticed The Purge is playing here in Lebanon now when I went to check show times for Superman. I guess after it beat box office expectations they decided to show it.
There are a lot of good shows on tv this morning to bad I have to go to bed. Travel Channel has a few episodes "Samantha Brown's Great Weekends" on. I miss her shows! She had so many over the years and they were some of the best programming the Travel Channel has had on. Plus most of them were actually on the topic of travel, unlike a lot of the stuff they show. They kind of went from The Travel Channel to Food Network #2.
History Channel has a Cities of The Underworld marathon on, also one of my favorite shows and one worthy of being on the History Channel.  Mtv has on Pranked, yeah it's got nothing to do with music.... but at least it's not Snookie or one where making poor life choices will get you on tv.
I have been thinking about upgrading my phone now that Straight Talk has some iPhones and Galaxies. They aren't cheap, so I don't know yet. I don't use my phone a whole lot, it's an old cheap one. I don't text a lot, make a phone call here and there and check Facebook.
I found out last night I'm not going to be staying on the shift I have mostly been working on this month. I have no idea yet what I will be working, I just know I won't be where I'm at now because they already have other guys scheduled to work it.  It sucks, because I had some stability. I wasn't going day shift, then a night shift, then an evening shift, then a night shift, then a day shift, etc. I was just starting to get to know everyone I was working with and make some friends. Now I don't have a clue where I will be working or what hours and I will be starting over fresh getting to know everyone.
It's not easy making friends there! The turn over rate is so high, nobody cares to get to know you. Just another guy who will be gone in a few days, weeks or months. You don't really have the bond, because you aren't really part of the team, you're more like the water boy on the sidelines watching everyone play. Then a lot of people just don't like me because the guys on the outside write tickets which they get and they get in trouble with their bosses for those. I think I've worked on the outside twice since I started, so I don't give out tickets, but I still catch the heat from it.
So I'm a little bummed, because I was just getting to know everyone and working with some really awesome people. I've got some days off this week and I'll be working a couple other shifts, but I'll have a few more days on that shift before the end of the month.
