Snow White & The Huntsman, The Grey and We Bought A Zoo.
I finally got around to seeing Snow White and The Huntsman at the theater last week. It was ok, I didn't really like the romance part of it though. *Spoiler Alert Skip To Next Paragraph* I think snow white should have ended up with William. She really didn't end up with either one, but they hinted towards the Huntsman.
Tonight on dvd I watched The Grey. I was really disappointed in The Grey! It was absolutely horrible! I was starting to become a fan of Liam Neeson, but after he did this movie I lost all respect for the man. The action sucked, the story sucked and the survival skills sucked! I wanted to watch an action movie, not see what someones beliefs are. It was pro-atheist, I don't care wether or not god exsists in my action movie! It was a little pro-suicide, hey death isn't that bad if you want to give up that's your choice... again I don't need your opinions in my action movie! It was anti-wolf, wolves are evil vengful creatures with glowing eyes and one thing in mind.... kill humans! Then I'm not even sure what was up with Liam Neeson's flash backs. You think it's his wife dieing, but then at the end is it his mother and he was just a little boy, at that point I was kinda bored and not even paying attention anymore. But I certainly could have lived without the flash backs. Now to the survival situations..... He is carrying a rifle, but all his ammo is shotgun shells? Seriously morons! You can survive in a blizzard with no shelter! You can jump into a freezing river and the water is comfy to hang out in for a while and then afterwards you can run around in your soaking wet clothes just fine. Not even going to talk about the ravine jump..... wow! Or how the wolves teleported to the other side ahead of them. Overall this movie was HORRIBLE!
At least I counter acted the horribleness of that movie with a really great one.... We Bought A Zoo. I thought it was excellent! I need to find a zoo for sale with Scarlett Johansson. Could she be any hotter? It was a really great family movie, one that might make you shed a tear or two. But it's got a happy ending! It's based on a true story, the zoo it is based on is in the United Kingdom. I remember when Exotic Animal Paradise was for sale and I wished I could have bought it and fixed it up into an amazing zoo. It was just an all around good movie and it makes a good family movie.
