Rainy Day
Today it has rained most of the day, so no adventures. I invited my mom out to eat at Mazzio's this morning and worked on getting my video of Dogwood Canyon uploaded to Youtube. Edited a few pictures on Flickr, played some Xbox.
I spent most of the evening yesterday editing the video and getting it to save. I found out the software I'm using it really horrible when it comes to anything over 15 minutes in length. It took hours to render the video and I had to go to sleep and let it finish overnight.
I have some more video editing software I bought a couple weeks ago I haven't even taken out of the box yet. Hopefully it will be better and allow me to do more, because what I'm using now seems pretty limited.
The video is pretty ruff and filmed on the spur of the moment. I shot the whole video using my Nikon D7000 and left the rest of the cameras in my car. I've been wanting to start my own outdoor/travel/adventure show for years now and I'm finally giving it a go. The video before last of The Cave Restaurant I actually filmed last summer planning on doing this way back then. But this has been an idea I've dabbled with off and on since I was 16 or so.
As much success as I've had with my photography I hope I can repeat it with video. I've always been interested in video, but I put it on the back burner behind photography. Each video I make I learn a lot and get a little better. And hopefully I will find some success with it and if not at least I'll have fun trying.
The biggest challenge is I've gotta do it all on my own, no camera crew, no audio crew, no director or producer, no multiday film schedule or big budget. The other big obsticle I don't really have a face or voice for it either. I've just gotta make due with what I've got. So I'm pretty much filming everything like the show Survivorman where I not only have to host the show, I have to film it too, not an easy task!
I had a really strange dream last night! I dreamed I was at the mall in Springfield and it was a post zombie apocalypse environment. Only instead of zombies it was raptors! And we were sneaking around the parking lot trying to avoid them. They spotted us and we had to hide under the bed cover of a pickup truck. I raised the pickup truck cover up real fast and it knocked the raptor off and it broke the back window of the truck. I climbed through the back window really quickly and started the truck and drove off and they were chasing us through the parking lot and then I woke up.
