Quick Blog.

Going to type this really fast as I'm running on very little sleep, it's late and I have to be up early. The last couple days have been really busy. I ended up going to Springfield Saturday night to the C-Street City Market Summer Bazaar. I guess the C-Street City Market is a monthly thing on East Commercial Street in Springfield with vendors selling fresh produce, crafts, honey, homemade soap, etc. But since this was the Summer Bazaar they had a little more of a festival. There were lots of people dancing with hula hoops, fire dancers, belly dancers, live bands, artist painting, people juggling, etc.
I've started working on the pictures, but the not so good ones are up first and the better ones are yet to come. After it got dark the photography went downhill just because there was very little lighting at all and I was pretty much shooting in the dark.
I got down there pretty earlier and walked around Commercial Street and some of the allies taking some pictures. The market started at 6:00pm, but things kicked off pretty slow. So I hung out a bit on the Jefferson Street Footbridge photographing trains going under at the Burlington Northern train yard there.
It was really late getting home and I couldn't sleep. I ended up only getting two or three hours sleep before waking up to go with the family to Branson. It was my mom, stepdad Chuck, nephew Elijah and my niece Aurora.
We had planned on eating at Godfather's Pizza down there, but when we arrived their sign said they were closed on Sundays. So we went to Fuddrucker's instead and I had a hambuger and french fries. We arrived about five minutes before they were opened and people were already starting to line up outside. It's July on a weekend so Branson is very busy!
Once inside the line moved pretty quickly and we placed our order. Out of the five of us the only mistake was my mom ordered onion rings and instead received french fries. The food was good, pretty much the same as the one in Springfield. I did not care for the layout of the restaurant though! All the tables were pushed together in long rows for very large groups. If you are in a smaller group of 4-6 you'll either have to share a table with strangers or sit in a booth. My mom is handicap and can't easily get in and out of booths. Plus unless you get the big round corner booths six people in a booth would be pretty cramped! And it's annoying for people to move to let others in and out if they want to go refill their drinks. They hadn't bothered to refill the ketchup the previous night or before they opened and it was empty. Both soda machines weren't working right. They are the touch screen type with all the flavor combinations. One was really difficult to change the selection and the other was stuck on regular Coca-Cola. My niece and I were drinking Dr. Pepper and after waiting in line for five minutes at the soda machine we had to drink Coca-Cola because I wasn't going to spend another five minutes in line at the other soda machine.
After we ate we went to the Hollywood Wax Museum and it was packed! The first circle of the parking lot and there wasn't a single parking space! The second time around we got lucky and found one just as someone was leaving. It really wasn't that enjoyable and it was difficult to take pictures or pose with the wax figures. It was hard to stop and read the signs telling about the figures because there were so many people it was almost elbow to elbow with a flow of traffic behind you. This is exactly why I prefer to do things on the weekdays and off season!
After the Wax Museum we went to The Butterfly Palace and Rain Forest Adventure. It's at the end of the strip so it wasn't as busy, but there were still a lot of people. I got some good pictures of butterflies and I could probably spend the entire day in there just taking pictures of them. The room where the butterflies are in is extremely hot and humid, it certainly feels like you are in a rain forest! After being in there sweat is literally dripping off you! I kept thinking butterflies had landed on me, but it was drops of sweat rolling down.
So that's pretty much what I've been up to the last couple days. I'm getting off here and getting to bed! Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
