I'm Back!

I haven't updated this in a few days because my laptop died. Best I can tell it was a complete electronic meltdown and everything fried. So I have been stuck just using my desktop PC for about a week. I could have updated my blog from the desktop, but I can't just kick back and relax like I can when I'm on my laptop.
My new laptop came in the mail today and I'm currently putting it through it's paces. It has all the same features as my old one, but it's cheaper. I couldn't afford much, but it works and hopefully it will get the job done. The build quality doesn't seem to be as good, but I don't plan on doing much more with it that surfing the web, updating my BLOG, browsing Flickr, working on my website, Facebook, watching videos on Youtube etc. I do all my photo editing on my desktop PC.  The new laptop has a built in battery, which is different! I've never had a laptop before where you couldn't unsnap the battery from the back if it needed replacing. Not that I have ever had to replace a battery before, usually they get outdated before the battery needs replaced. If this laptop lasts a year or two I will have gotten my money's worth out if it.
I finished the pictures from the concert the other day and they are all online now. Made a few new friends on Facebook from it, which is good networking! The picture seem to be a huge success and everyone loved them.
For the most part I'm caught up on pictures for the moment. I just have a stock of photos to upload one or two at a time to keep fresh content rolling out.
I hadn't been on Statsr in a few months and thought I would check it the other night. (Statsr is a website that tracks where you rank on Flickr). It said I had fallen this month to 108th position. I looked up on Wikipedia and it said in 2013 Flickr had 85 million registered accounts. Out of 85 million photographers in the world on Flickr and I'm in 108th place! Apparently last month I was higher than that, pretty awesome!
I decided to do a wedding show this month. It was a big investment at a time when money is really tight, so I'm hoping it pays off. Competition is fierce in the area! But I have some of the lowest prices and I'm one of the best in the world, so I've got that going for me. Need to do some work on my website to get it ready. It's pretty simple, I don't have the a big chunk of change to drop to some company for an expensive flash template website. I've gotta do it all myself and I only know old school html.
