Two Days of Travel
The first two days of travel are complete! Monday I went to Oklahoma and then on to Dallas Texas.
Oklahoma has a lot of colorful wildflowers along the road. When you see wildflowers along the roads in Missouri they seem to be all of the same color grouped together in patches. The wildflowers in Oklahoma were a lot more colorful.
The rivers in Oklahoma also look a lot different than the rivers in Missouri. The rivers in Oklahoma all seem to be a reddish brown. I saw so many casinos the last two days in Oklahoma because of the Native American reservations. Some big and beautiful, some not much more than being half of a gas station. Winstar Casino, the largest casino in Oklahoma, is made to look like famous building from all over the world like London's Big Ben and Rome's Coliseum. Drove through the Chickasaw National Park, saw a spot where Bonnie and Clyde had a shoot out, Eufaula Lake, and many other places.
Texas has beautiful bridges with reddish accents and stars. Traffic in Dallas was not fun! Lots of construction and lots of bottle necks where it would jam up. Texas lives up to it's reputation! Wrangler billboards, cattle, steak houses, saw an oil well themed restaurant.
I'm back home tonight, but plan on leaving again early in the morning for a new destination.
