Down and Dirty

      Last night I went to The American Arenacross Championship Series in Springfield, Missouri. It was my first time photographing motocross racers or even going to a motocross event. I'm always up for a new challenge though and it proved to be a lot of fun.
      The Arenacross event was held in the indoor arena at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Being indoors they could have used a little better ventilation! I had the horrible taste of exhaust in my mouth for the rest of the evening and couldn't get it out. Had a close call when I was photographing bikes coming head on jumping through the air and one hit the metal rail inches from me.
      After all the sports events I've done in the last year they have all been indoors or at night, I'm thinking it would be great to do some in some really nice daylight! The pictures turned out really good, but I only have a couple up on Flickr so far. I have to go back to the regular job tomorrow so I thought I would take today off and just relax a little. Played some video games and now I'm watching the show Off Limits. It is hosted by Don Wildman and he explores interesting and historical areas of cities that are normally off limits to the public.
