I may have forgotten how to fly, but I can still crow.
I had today and I have tomorrow off work, two of the three days I told them I wasn't going to work this month. I got an amazing night of sleep, no evil alarm clock this morning.
Went to the movies and watched Man Of Steel which was really good! About half the movie is him becoming Superman, the other half is him fighting General Zod. I feel like this has the potential for at least a trilogy. I can't say how accurate this is to the comic Superman. My limited knowledge of Superman comes from years ago when I watched Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. I can't even remember the older Superman movies.
After the movies I drove to Bennett Spring State Park for a few minutes. It was sprinkling rain off and on and with all the rain we have had lately the trails were either to muddy or flooded out to hike very much. It made me feel like Peter Pan all grown up and returning to Neverland. Just the sight of the blue State Park signs brought a feeling as if I was home. My camera was dusty I hadn't used it in so long and I reminisced how the weight feels around my neck. The way the moss and vines grow up the side of a tree like Mother Nature's version of a beautiful painting. I still had my connection, my ability to see what most people just walk by, the calmness animals feel around me. My fingers just glided over the camera buttons pressing combinations to change the settings like it was a part of me.
