The Zombies of Wal-mart

This was one really long week! I think I worked about 10 days in a row and it's drained the energy out of me. I had today and part of yesterday off work, got home yesterday about 7:00 in the morning. I slept most of yesterday and then got up to help install the new water heater. After getting the water heater in I went back to bed and slept most of the night.
I was so tired I didn't even realize it was storming and I had some crazy dreams. I know one part I was doing a rescue operation in a parking garage that had collapsed. Then another part I was on the roof of a fancy high rise condo building, it was a big roof top garden with a pool and lawn chair. And the girl who plays Nora on the show Revolution was there and I was talking to her and I ended up setting up a date with her later on in the evening. Unfortunately I woke up before the date. :(
Revolution is one of my favorite shows, haven't missed an episode yet. Charlie is pretty, but my crush is on Nora. She's got more of the sexy tough girl thing going on and the dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes, that's my weakness. I think she is absolutely beautiful.
I didn't get much sleep the night before, just two or three hours between shifts. The heater coil on my Jeep broke and I got that temporarily fixed until I can get it repaired this week. I had really wanted to find a date this weekend, or at the least go out and do something fun. It just wasn't to be I guess with the Jeep messing up, lack of hot water for a decent shave and shower and being so tired.
Speaking of dates, the girl I had a crush on, I got over that quick! She ended up being an emotional train wreck and I dodged a bullet there!
I woke up this morning and watched Meatballs, a Bill Murray classic from 1979. It's a comedy where he plays a camp counselor. Then  I watched part of Hook with Robin Williams, before taking a break and playing some Xbox.
I was going to go to the movies and see After Earth, but the theater parking lot was packed. I couldn't even find a parking place without having to go all  the way over and park in front of the library and walk. I didn't feel like dealing with that many people. I don't like going to the movies alone on a weekend either, everybody is on dates and then there you are being reminded of how single you are. I had rather go to the movies on a weekday to the matinee and only have a handful of other people in the theater. It's nice like that you can kick back, relax and enjoy the movie without a dozen people talking, making comments and kicking your seat and having to look over people's heads to see the screen.
My venture out of the house left me feeling very anti-social today. People really had their heads up their butts today! I guess the checks have also came in so it brought out all those people too. Just driving through town got me really flustered. People not yielding, talking on their cell phones going 15 mph under the speed limit in heavy traffic.
Then I stopped at Wal-mart because I had to get some groceries before I go back to work tomorrow. This pretty much sent my anti-social level through the roof for the day! I swear this town is nothing but white trash anymore. Our society is really decaying, it doesn't seem like it used to be like this. There has always been a few, but now it seems like the few are the many.
Driving up and down the isles looking for a parking space I couldn't even count how many people just walked right out in front of me. Either they had their heads so far up their butts they didn't even look to see if a car was coming and walked right out in traffic. (even little kids know to look both ways!) Or they looked and just didn't care "because they'll stop".
Walking into the store some guy in front of me pancaked right into the exit only door. Then he unsuccessfully tried to pry the door open with his fingers before giving up and going two steps over to the entrance door. Judging by the looks of him, drugs were probably a contributing factor. Walked by another guy in the store who I wasn't sure if he had been drinking booze or bathing in them.
Then 90% of the people in the store go into zombie mode and have no courtesy. I kept thinking how much I hoped someday someone came along and just plowed into them with a shopping cart. They have this attitude of I'm not stopping you're stopping. They cut you off with their shopping carts, wheel right out in front of you, make you dodge out of the way to avoid a collision. They get tunnel vision and it's like there is nobody else in the store but them. It just shocks me how rude people have become.
