Tattoos

I'm up watching Bad Ink on A&E and eating Medallian Cheese Puffs "Cheese Flavored Snacks". Money is pretty tight right now so I went with the cheaper version of Cheetos. They aren't bad, but they have a much stronger cheese flavor. Usually with the off brands you can't tell much of a difference, big difference here. Flavor wise, Cheetos are better!
Saturday I took my mom to Springfield so she could do some shopping and it was an excuse for me to get out of the house without spending very much money. We went to Bass Pro and while there I saw a girl with short neon green hair, a half dozen facial piercings and tattoos all over her face and neck. Her ears had been cut in half with the ear lobes stretched and hanging halfway down her neck. She also had implants under the skin on her forehead to make it look like devil horns. She looked to be about 19 years old and thanks to her giant "look at me, I need attention" sign branded on her she has eliminated herself from 95% of the jobs out there for the rest of her life.
I don't have ink, but I'm not anti-tattoo. I actually plan on getting some one day, I just haven't had a tattoo in the budget or made it a priority.
What I am against is stupid tattoos! 1. You shouldn't get tattoos when you are drunk. 2. If you want a tattoo think about what you want, spend a week or two on it before you get it. 3. Don't get a tattoo just because you want a tattoo. 4. Don't get a tattoo of anything popular, because in a few years it won't be popular anymore. 5. For crying out loud don't get a tattoo of a boyfriend or girlfriend's name!  6. Use common sense vulgar, pornographic, etc. tattoos are going to limit you socially and career wise. So are tattoos on your hands, neck and face. Regardless if you think it should or shouldn't, it does. 7. Get your tattoo done by a tattoo artist, don't just see a tattoo place run in the door and go "ink me!". Just like how everyone with a camera is calling themselves a "Professional Photographers", everyone with a tattoo gun is calling themselves a "tattoo artist". Do some research first and get a real artist, if you can't afford quality ink then you probably don't need it. 8. If you are on welfare you can't afford a tattoo!
What do I think are good tattoos?  Good tattoos done right by a real artist. Something that has a special or significant meaning. Things like the last letter of a loved one who passed away, the foot prints of your child, something unique or creative, a quote you live your life by, something that is part of you etc.
If I were to get a tattoo, what would I get? I thought about getting one for my time I spent in law enforcement. I've also thought about getting the tattoo of "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing". Also a tattoo of a camera for photography.
