New Camera!

I got a new camera just a few hours after talking about holding off on getting a camera in my last blog. It was a deal I couldn't pass up though!!!! I currently use a Nikon D7000 as my main camera, but it is five years old and I've shot a lot of pictures with it! Plus traveling and on adventures it gets a lot more abuse than a studio camera would.
My D7000 has been a great camera, no complaints! I'm sticking with that series and just moving up two generations to the D7200. I had planned to wait a while until the D7300 came out, but the release date hasn't even been set. Just a bunch of internet speculation it would come out at the end of this year or early next year.
What I am looking forward to the most is the bump up in megapixels. My D7000 has 16.1 and the D7200 has 24.2 MP. Should really make a good difference when if I have to crop the photos, which happens a lot.
I found the camera on Ebay in their daily deals, so it should hopefully be a bit more reliable than buying it off a general listing. The seller had a lot of good feedback so they've done a lot of business on there without many complains which is also a plus. I got the camera for about $300 less than on Amazon and the lens for about $50 less than on Amazon.
The lens I use now is exactly like the one I ordered, a Nikon 18-105mm. I rarely take if off my camera. I love it's versatility and it works for just about everything I do from portraits and weddings to travel and adventures. A little plastic ring on the camera lense I have now is cracked almost in half. It's cracked enough it makes it loose and it will randomly slip down jamming the camera lense from zooming in and out. I will have to stop and slide it back into place and resume taking pictures. I've been really lucky it hasn't completely broke yet.
