Mahjong
For supper tonight I ordered a Meat Lover's pizza from Pizza Hut (minus Canadian Bacon cause it's gross). Pizza Hut has a special going any large pizza for $10. Later on went out for milk shakes with the family since Sonic is having the 1/2 price shakes after 8:00pm. I tried the peanut butter bacon shake, it was "ok". I mostly picked the flavor just to aggravate my mom. lol The bacon and peanut butter flavor is very mild.
I also tried one of the new pretzel hot dogs at Sonic. Again just ok, still tasted like a hot dog but the bun had a different texture. I would say you get about 70% bun flavor and 30% hot dog flavor. The bun is a lot more dense so it's probably more filling than a regular hot dog. I was pretty full from the pizza earlier and ended up splitting mine with everyone so they could try it.
Work was pretty slow last night and I only had to deal with one person who wanted to be a pain in the butt. It ended up being a very very long night though! When I showed up for work they had scheduled two people to work the same shift. The other guy was supposed to work the same shift and then half of the second shift. Having driven all the way from Lebanon and being my last week I didn't want to part with the money, and the other guy said he was on overtime, I said I would stay and he would come back in the morning to work the half shift.
Well when it came time for me to go home he never showed up and he wouldn't answer his phone. So I ended up staying an extra three and half hours until the guy who came in after he was supposed to came in a little early to relieve me. Thankfully I managed to get a nap in and slept good before work or I probably would have been passed out in a puddle of drool snoring.
I've managed to stay awake all day after work, but I hate it because I'm tired and just blah. But if I went to bed it would really screw up my sleep schedule. Had I thought of it I would have went to the movies this afternoon to watch The Lone Ranger, but it didn't occur to me until to late in the evening.
When I got my new laptop a couple months ago it came with a free Mahjong game, to which I have become quit addicted. I have beat it on every difficulty level and it just seems like now I keep trying to beat my own person best times. I think I have maxed out though and become not limited by how fast I can solve it, but by how fast I can move the cursor. In any case I have been spending entirely way to much time playing it!
My power cord solution on my old lap top ended up not working out as well as I hoped. If my laptop is turned off it will charge the battery up, but I can't use my laptop while it's plugged in. At this point my old laptop is kind of like the Mars Opportunity Rover still going despite the odds and like NASA I am going to keep using it till it can't be used anymore.
