Lone Survivor
Yesterday I went to the movies and saw Lone Survivor. It was a good movie, but I expected better. I can't give away to many spoilers, but some of the stuff in the movie they over did. Mainly falling down the mountains, very overdone! I think they were trying to show how tough the Navy Seals are and how hard they can push themselves through anything. Just the impacts they showed I don't think it would be physically possible to walk away from, bones would be shattered and limbs would be mangled.
Other than the movie I just ate lunch at Ziggie's, got some groceries at Wal-mart and came home.
Today I went hiking at Bennett Spring State Park. It was really quiet there, very few people in the park. I'm not surprised since it's the off season, there just a handful of fisherman. I think this time of year they can just catch and release and the RV park is closed.
There were a few people playing on the swings at the little area by the fish hatchery. They were letting their little dog run loose without a leash. I'm not sure what kind it was, some sort of terrier, not much bigger than a Chihuahua. Thankfully today I didn't see any eagles around!
I did however see a very cool fish and I'm surprised I did! I think it was a Mottled Sculpin. I saw one years back, it was green and being eaten by snake at the time. This one was a camoflauge brown pattern that blended perfectly in with the gravel under the water along the river bank. He was very shy and I got a ok shot of him before he bashfully swim under a leaf to peak out at me. Other than the cool fish and a lot of trout and minnows I only saw a heron and a few crows.
